Raspberry Pi Workshops – November 2013 – Cambridge
With your host ‘The Raspberry Pi Guy’ aka Matthew Timmons-Brown, you’ll learn what the Raspberry Pi is, how to use it, program it and even make it control motors!
Matthew is the guy behind the successful You Tube channel ‘The Raspeberry Pi Guy’ and with over 10,000 subscribers he’s the perfect person to introduce you to a world of possibilities with the Raspberry Pi.
If you’ve bought a Raspberry Pi and don’t really know what to do next, then these workshops will be invaluable to you!
There are four workshops each lasting for 1hr. The first workshop is at 6pm on Thursday 7th November, and the following three are at the same time on each Thursday for the following three weeks.
Workshop One -What is the Raspberry Pi?
Thrusday 7th November – 5pm
An introduction to the Raspberry Pi, what it can do and how to set it up.
Workshop Two -Using the OS
Thrusday 14th November – 5pm
Introduces you to Linux and shows you the basics needed to navigate around the operating system.
Workshop Three -Programming thePi
Thrusday 21st November – 5pm
What is programming? An introduction to Python and how to program on the Pi.
Workshop Four – Get Connected
Thrusday 28th November – 5pm
How to make the Raspberry Pi control motors and sense switches.
These exciting hands-on after school workshops are ideal for both students and adults alike!
Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
The workshops cost £30 per person (or £45 for two people sharing) for the entire four weeks and includes admission to the museum until 7:00pm – either come early and take a look round first or hang around for half an hour afterwards!
